How does it work?

The process begins with an informal meeting with one of our experienced team (all trained communicators) over a cup of tea or a glass of wine.

The interviewer will come to your home or wherever feels comfortable; we allow ample time for discussion and questions about the process.

At the initial meeting, we will provide a series of questions that offer an invisible, but invaluable framework. The interviewee (perhaps in conjunction with a family member) has the opportunity to select questions that are most relevant to their circumstances.

The recording takes place in a subsequent visit (we recommend within 3-6 days). The narrator will be made comfortable and familiarised with the lights, microphone and discreet camera set-up. The narrator  is then encouraged to tell their stories with question prompts from the interviewer. The interviewee can stop at any time for clarification or a break. There is minimal pressure as editing can remove any mistakes or regrets. Narrators are encouraged to offer photos for scanning to enhance the audio recording. After the recording, the questions are then edited out to provide a seamless and personal presentation.
